Kuroshitsuji Ciel Make Up

So last night, I was watching some Kuroshitsuji amvs and was really inspired to put my make skills to the test and make myself look like Ciel Phantomhive. Ciel is one of the main characters from the show who works along side his faithful butler Sebatian Mikhaelis.Although a lot of the sucess of this look is due to the editing I did, it was still fun doing the base make up look. If anyone is interseted, I can post the unedited versions as well, so you can see the difference. ^_^

After doing all this, I am really inspired to maybe try cosplaying him at an upcoming convention. Maybe I can talk my boyfriend into finally coming with me for once. ^_^ I think he would make a beautiful Sebastian...<3

New Cut and Color!

Hello, Lovlies~!

Justwanted to post a picture of my newest haircut and color. Unforunately by now the color has faded a lot, but I really enjoyed it while it lasted. So, what do you guys think? Is colorful hair like gyaru or just mainstream?

I'm back again~

Hello again everyone! I apologize for taking such a long leave from my blog, but I am back now and feel that maybe I will have more interesting things to write about!

So, for starters, I just started going to Paul Mitchell the school of Michigan. I am so in love~ The school, the people and the experience this far have been amazing. There have been so many oppurtunities come my way since starting there.

I met Melissa Jaqua and Abe Barron on my second day of school. A little more than star struck for sure! @-@ If you don't know them, check them out for sure! Melissa and Abe's salon site

I've also met Kim Jones who was a riot and so much fun to be around. I have a passion for make up and someday hope to be working on movies and such just like she does so when she came to talk with us, I really tried to absorb as much as I could. Kim's site When she was talking with us, Kim told us about recently working for Alicia Silverstone and how Ms. Silverstone is all about everything being organic and cruelty free. When Kim found this out, she ran and bought everything she could find make up wise under those two categories, even a new set of brushes. That, to me, is what it means to be a make up artist; going out of your way and doing everything you can for and knowing your clients, even down to the littlest details.

Also, I have had the oppurtunity to have my own photoshoot with a famous photographer who used to do photoshoots for Caoch and the like. I currently do not have my prints back yet, but I do have a few behind the scenes shots for everyone to look at for now. ^-^

There have been a lot of fun times with my Core class as well~ ^-^

Group shot

We had a day where we did each others make up as well

All in all, going to this school has been one of the best decisions of my life and I have met some of the most beautiful people, inside and out, since going there. I am proud to say that I am a Paul Mitchell student!

Cafe Japon Review

So just yesterday, my boyfriend and I went out to Ann Arbor with a single mission in mind: Cafe Japon. I read a review of the small cafe in Hour magazine, a magazine published in Detriot for Detriot foodies. While reading the description, Cafe Japon sounded like everything I could want combined into one store, delicious Japanese and French cuisine combined with fresh French pastries and breads. I had to go. So, for my B'day present, Nick loaded Lili and me up and drove us to Ann Arobor to try this place out.

When we drove into Ann Arobor, I already felt at home. Growing up in small artsy towns in Washington, Ann Arbor could easily have been one of those towns. Its a small college town heavily focused on the arts and great dining, two of my favorite things in life. Every shop appeared inviting and everyone was more than friendly.

Finally, we spotted the goal to our mission. At first glance, Cafe Japon appears to be a little unassuming coffee shop set off on a side road among a couple galleries and chocolate shops. But once inside, the smell of all the sweets and breads and teas was intoxicating! The place was small on the inside with a simple decor; they also offered outdoor seating for nice days. Our hostess was more than willing to oblige us in whatever we needed and always smiling. I was really surprised to see that even the owner was there checking up on everybody and making sure everything was good. She was really kind as well.

We ordered a couple of sweets to start with the chocolate croissant and choco-almond croissant. They both were delicious. After that, she brought us our main dish, a small pot of sukiyaki with some rice and miso soup. It. Was. Amazing! The chef only uses grade a beef and the most tender cuts so the food just melted in your mouth. The broth was everything it should be, light, salty, and sweet.

So thank you so much for giving me some of the best food I've ever had, Cafe Japon~

My First Post!

So...this is my first post on here and I have to admit, its more than a little awkward...

I had hoped to have pictures of all my family posted on here for my first post, but I kind of just sat down and started typing. Well, as for my family, I live with my daughter Lilith, my boyfriend Nick, my mom and my stepdad and my two cats Zeus and Utah. We're a little bit cramped up in our house, but that's okay because we usually all get along.

My daughter is my life. She really demands all of my attention, but she is a sweet girl who gets along with just about everybody, but is timid around older kids. I don't really know why...Her full name is Lilith Annaleigh Rose Smith and she's 18 months old. I knew almost exactly what I wanted to name her as soon as she was conceived. ^_^ I try really hard to keep her looking great at all times even if it means I look less than homely. lol.

I also love fashion about as much as I love my daughter. ^_^ I try to always keep myself looking cute. I really don't want to be one of those moms who everyone thinks has let herself go. I know that my appearance affects Lili just as much as her own does. Image is pretty important to me, which I guess is kind of shallow, but I also know that having a good inside is just as important.

I'm really into gyaru fashion at the moment. I try to keep my look more on the natural side of gal, but sometimes I do like the heavier rokka-kei look. My gyaru idols are Kanno Yui, Masuwaka Tsubasa, Izuoka Misaki, and Hate Nonoka. They're all so cute in their own ways. ^w^ My favorite Japanese brands are Liz Lisa, Cecil McBee, MA*RS, Crayme, Esperanza, Baby the Stars Shine Bright , and Bla Bla Hospital. I know that the last two aren't typical gyaru brands, but I really like them for what they are.

At one point in time or another, I've done just about every major Japanese fashion style out there. From 7th to 10th grade I was all about Lolita and Decora. Then in 11th grade I really got into manba, but it was a little difficult to maintain the style, so I didn't get to dress manba everyday. *is sad* Finally in 12th grade I got my hands on my very first Popteen and never looked back. lol.

I would like someday to be one of those famous gal mamas that everyone knows on the internet. Its not something I'm necessarily going to be obsessed with, always wanting to be popular, I would just really like to have a lot of friends and be known as a nice person.^_^

Well, I guess I better stop for now...its getting late and I feel like cuddling with my boyfriend.

~Night night for now, everyone~
